Vassil Mihov is an Associate Professor of Finance and Beasley Fellow at the Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University. His research expertise is the areas of debt financing, capital structure, and options markets. His most recent research, “Performance Contingencies in CEO Equity Awards and Debt Contracting,” was accepted for publication at The Accounting Review. His publications have appeared in The Journal of Finance and the Journal of Financial Economics, among others.  Dr. Mihov teaches MBA and undergraduate honors courses and has been honored with numerous teaching awards including the Neeley Graduate Teaching Award (twice), Neeley Fellows Distinguished Faculty Award, the Pi Beta Phi Outstanding Professor Awards, and has been named a MBA Preferred Professor and a Mortar Board Preferred Professor. His professional experience includes work as a licensed commodity broker and a business consultant. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Graceland College and Ph.D. in Finance from Purdue University.
