Dr. Vassil Mihov is a
Professor of Finance and Theodore and Beulah Beasley Faculty Fellow at the Neeley School of
Business, Texas Christian University. His
research expertise is the areas of debt financing, capital structure, COVID-19, and
options markets. His publications have appeared in The Journal
of Financial Economics, The Journal of Finance, The Journal of Quantitative and Financial Analysis, and The Accounting Review, among others. Dr. Mihov has taught
courses in the Neeley gradute and undergraduate programs, including the honors cohort Neeley Fellows. Dr. Mihov has been recognized with numerous
teaching awards, including the Neeley Graduate
Teaching Award (twice), the Fellows Distinguished
Faculty Award, the Pi Beta Phi Outstanding Professor Award, and has been named
an MBA "Favorite Professor" and a Mortar Board Preferred Professor multuple times. His
professional experience includes working as a licensed commodity broker and a
business consultant. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration
from Graceland College and Ph.D. in Finance from Purdue University.
