We will periodically have guest speakers in the class. There will be an assignment grade for each guest speaker with the following breakdown. Dress code is as follows for guest speakers - "business casual light": collared shirt (or equivalent for women), no shorts, no hats, no South Park tank tops. An unexcused absence will result in a zero and late arrivals will result in a 50% - no exceptions. Use of computers or disruption during the guest speaker's presentation will result in a zero. For each guest speaker, the instructor will provide students with background information on the speaker/topic for which the student is to develop 5 questions - to be addressed to the guest speaker. These questions will prepare the student for the discussion on the day of the guest speaker. The questions will be based on their quality and will be due (via e-college) by 12:00 midnight prior to the day of the guest speaker (unless stated otherwise). Questions can be submitted (via e-college) after 12:00 midnight but prior to the class period; however, these questions will be considered late and will be receive a 2.5 pt reduction (of the maximum 10 pts for the questions). Questions will not be accepted after the beginning of class (this includes 9:31 a.m. and 11:01 a.m. for the respective classes). For those cases where questions are not required, students will automatically receive the full 10% credit.

Points for Guest Speaker assignments are as follows:
- On time arrival: 65%
- Appropriate dress code: 10%
- Submittal/Quality of questions: 10%
- Quality of participation during the presentation/Q&A: 15%
- The instructor reserves the right to ask exam questions from the guest speaker and/or base such exams points on attendance of the guest speaker's presentation
